[Command & Conquer RA2: Yuri's Revenge quote list]
God, this was an old project. I think it all started with someone wanting to translate the game
and me trying to help by writing down the individual quotes from the game, all of them.
I don't remember if that project went anywhere, but I did end up with this not-so-small list.
As it is over 90% complete, I figured I will put it up in HTML form.
Some notes:
This is still WIP, and will stay as such till someone leaks the actual script from Westwood and sends it to me.
The RA2 sounds had their scripts in the game, but the Yuri's Revenge voices weren't.
Those voices make up the bigger part, and some of them have insane accents.
I'm not an expert in the tricks and traps of the English language, so some stuff might be inaccurate.
The list of the actual number of quotes, as well as their order, were extracted from the
game code itself. Sometimes, the exact same sound was used in two slots so the chance of that
quote being used would be higher. The list only has every different quote from the game, not counting
which way they appear.
On the other hand, some quotes are the same just with different articulation. These are listed,
as they do use a different slot in the game mechanics as well.
Some quotes are specified to appear according to the game rules, however, the conditions which
would trigger that certain quote might never be met due to whatever reason. These "never-before-heard"
quotes are also included. That includes the Slaves quotes, or the multiple "global" quote for when
you build hero units.
If something has a "???", then I don't have any fucking clue what it could be. Fortunetaly,
I figured out most of the quotes with the help of contributers.
Speaking fo contributers, if you think any of these quotes are wrong and you think you can correct
them, feel free to tell me about it.
Hmm, I think that's all of it.
I put the stuff under 3 subpages, one for allies, one for soviets, and one for Yuri's side and the Civilians.
Country-specific special units are included with whichever side they are in.
I might add movie scripts, sound samples and so forth once... Well it's a distinct possibility.
