* Cotton Boomerang Levels *

Stage 1 - Wataboushi Hill

On to the adventure! The first stage starts with the hills sorrounding the castle you start off from. It's a great practicing stage. Make sure you learn how to use combinations here, you will need them later on.
The Subboss is a flying dragon, who is rather easy to handle as his shots can be very easily countered.
Boss: The White Giant who woke up
The White Giant will fall from above, to the center part of the screen. You can actually grab parts of his body, each untouched bodypart will award you points. Also try grabbing his weapons, and throw them back at him for more damage. The one point of his body taking damage is his torso and head.
After a while, flying dragons will come in, assisting the Giant, until he takes matters in his own hands.

Stage 2 - The Ancient Castle in the Sky

Another easy and short stage, more practice. But things will get messy later on...
The Subboss is a Pumpkin King. He comes out rather early, and he can be a pain if you haven't mastered the combinations so far. He will shoot out numerous vegetables and fruits out of his crown, which will exlode and release projectiles at you. Hit those with a combo move and they will destroy each other in a chain reaction. The pumpkin itself will shoot regular projectiles on you, as well as a huge beam covering most of the screen.
Boss: The Flower of a Cursed Past
This "flower" can be rather evil. It will spit out flying roses at you, or ring-like projectiles that can be punched out. It will also try following you, probably to take a good bite. Sometimes it will go to the edge of the screen, facing you with special projectiles that you can't punch out, only dodge.
Note that the Roots of the flower can be blasted out for additional points. They are the things that will shoot most of the regular shots at you, so destroying these claw-like roots will certainly make things easier. However, they will regrow after some time.

Stage 3 - Coral Sea

The Coral Sea is full of sunken ships, which you can blast into pieces. Learn how and when should you use the bombs on this stage.
The Subboss is a huge crawfish with multiple body parts, all of them shooting projectiles at you. The head of the thing will also belch up smaller crabs at you. Theres a bomb nearby, make sure you use it at the right moment.
Boss: The Demon That Lurks In The Deep Sea
A huge Octopus/squid combination with many many tentacles. It has many kind of attacks: It can shoot big dual shots out of its tentacles, it can shoot small projectiles in big numbers, it can try hitting you with his tentacles (you can punch this attack back for additional points, but you must time the punches right!), or it will shoot huge unpunchable projectiles from out of its belly.

Stage 4 - Confusing Cavern

This Ice Cavern is a hard stage. Watch out with the small tunnels, avoid getting stuck at all costs. Use the Left, Right, Right, B combination to punch out enclosed enemies in case they get in the way. Also look out for the many obstacles, which will try to crush you or block your path. The huge glaciers on the ground and air can be destroyed for Level Up crystals, but it takes a while to blow them up, even with the nearby bomb.
The Subboss is a Bone Dragon. Like the previous subboss, the crawfish, it builds up from multiple body parts, all of them shooting at once. However, these bullets cannot be punched out so its a lot harder to dodge.
Boss: The Sealed Dragon God
A giant dragon wielding two orbs. The orbs can be destroyed for additional points, but be aware that they will blow up leaving lots of hard to dodge projectiles behind. Once they are blown up, the pattern of the Dragon's attack will change too, each time getting harder and harder. And remember, you have to target its head as its body is immune to damage.

Stage 5 - Ayakashi Swamp

From the frozen parts of the Ice Cavern, enter the flaming bog which is the Ayakashi Swamp. Fire is everywhere and you have to dodge huge flames and falling pillars throughout the stage.
The Subboss is an aztec-like machinery, generating many smaller versions of itself. These smaller versions circle around the main thing and do all the dirty work. As theres a very small amount of space to dodge during this battle, it is very hard.
Boss: The Wizard Beyond the Heat-Haze
This huge wizard is one of the tougher bosses. Flaming rocks rise around him, shooting projectiles at you. The Wizard himself will launch a pack of red bullets around him, which will launch into the air one by one. These red bullets can be grabbed while they are stationary, you get extra points for these. Afterwards the Wizard will cause an earthquake, either making the ceiling fall at you, or rising numerous more lava balls.

Stage 6 - The Mysterious Temple

Enter the 6th stage, a huge magical temple accompanied by a dramatic organ soundtrack. This stage is simply beautiful, but don't let that fool you, it is the hardest stage in the game! There are just so many enemies attacking you at once that its not easy to get past safe. And even more importantly, the gravity is shifted on this stage! Make sure you take that into account, as it affects many things, ranging from the movement of the enclosed enemies to Tea Time.
The Subboss is... is there a subboss? I don't remember any...
Boss: The Knight Who Abandoned His Soul
As the stage has no subboss, you get a final boss who is very tough. He shifts his magic power 3 times during the battle depending on his remaning health. Each time he can do 3 different kind of attacks. Naturally, he gets more powerful attacks with each change. Watch out for his lance which can knock you out. A risky, but certain way to kill him is to fly on his head and keep punching it.

Stage 7 - Time of Resurrection

The final fight is a graphical galore as well as a huge rush. Avoid the glaciers and the flames as well as everything the final boss throws at you - if you can.
